IFIC (In-service Programme, Field Interaction and Innovation co-ordination) :
 
  Introduction :
The main important work of this branch is to make the in-service teachers fully equipped of the revolutions, problems arising in day-to-day teaching by giving them training. Elementary education can be regarded as the base of nation's progress and so the elementary teachers are to be equipped with all the new methods, teahouse, innovations by giving them training.
Role
In-service programmes, Field Interaction and Innovation Co-ordination (IFIC)
  1. To assist educational authorities in planning and coordination of in-service education programmes for elementary teachers throughout the district, and to plan and coordinate such programmes held in the DIET, Pursuant to this, the Branch would…
    (i)    Identify training needs of elementary teachers in the district, and prepare a          perspective plan for meeting such needs,
    (ii)   Prepare an annual calendar of all programmes to be held outside the DIET, and
    (iii)  Help concerned authorities in preparing an annual calendar of in-service          programmes to be held outside the DIET.
  2. To evaluate and monitor the quality and efficiency of in-service programmes held in and outside the DIET, and to strive for their continuous improvement.
  3. To maintain data base of all persons, except NFE/AE personnel, who undergo training at the institute and to organize follow-up activities pursuant to such training, through correspondence, visits, transmission of printed materials.
  4. To serve as a reference and resource centres for teachers who wish to continue their education.
  •   To assist educational authorities in planning and co-ordination of In-service education   programmes for elementary teachers held in the DIET.
  •   Organizing In-service programmes (Residential/Non-residential) at other centers in the   district.
  •   In-service education programmes for teachers in the distance/distance-cum-contact   modes.
  •   To evaluate and monitor the quality & efficiency of In-service programmes held in &   outside the DIET and to strive for their continuous improvement.
  •   To maintain a database of all person who undergo training ate the institute and to   organize follow-up activities through correspondence visit etc.
  •   Co-ordination of in house action research activities and dissemination of its results.
  •   Publication of a periodic newsletter and on institute journal to be sent to every   elementary school/NFE/AE center in the district.
  •   To serve as reference and resource centers for teacher who wish to continue their   education.
  •   Identify training needs of elementary teachers in the district and prepare a   perspective   plan for meeting such needs according to their personal bio-data,   interest, personality   and proper choice.
  •   Get the knowledge of In-service teaching with the help audio-Visual aids and experts.
  •   Held programmes to teach language, math’s-science, studies, drawing, physical   education in groups or personally.
  •   To evaluate continuously the learners and minimum level of education.
