| The Work experience is an
important branch among the others 7 branches of the institute.
It is accepted in the National Educational policy that in the
process of teaching, the outputs which come out are more important.
They are 3 benefits of work experience making of material,
physical work and process of learning all the three. |

| Activities
of the Branch : |

To identify areas and to develop
WE activities related
-
To help the elementary teachers,
Non-formal education, adult education, In-service teachers,
pre-service teachers in planned introduction of work
experience activities in such areas.

To organized activities for
cleanliness, upkeep, and development of institute Campus, roads,
playgrounds, lawns, gardens etc. and its surroundings,
maintain of institute furniture and other properties.

To carry on Activities based
on material prevailing in the school, and local surroundings.

To celebrate the National religious
festivals.

| Work
Experience (WE) : |
-
To identify locally relevant
WE areas and incorporation with concerned nodal branches, to
develop sample curricular units, teaching learning material,
low cost teaching aids and evaluation tools/techniques
in such areas.

To help educational authorities
and elementary schools/NFE/AE centers in planned introduction
of Work Experience activities in such schools/centers.

As backup to (2) above, to conduct
appropriate in-service programmes for teachers in the
areas of WE.

To provide WE-related inputs
into all other programmes and activities of the Institute.

To organize activities for cleanliness,
upkeep and development of the Institute campus and
its surroundings and for basic maintenance of institute
furniture and other property.

To organize community service
activities and study visits to work centers as part of training
programmes, and to promote such activities on extra curricular
basis.

To maintain Workshop/Farm/Garden
for WE activities.

To promote work related hobbies
among trainees of the institute.

A TLM Corner is developed at Santrampur Institute, in which In-service and Pre-service teacher's
500 TLM equipments useful to the teachers are kept in the
Show-Case. Those TLM are developed by teacher and trainees,
it is used by teachers and trainees in their lessons.

To make the self made educational materials,
we need cutters, drill, cardboards, colors, brush, scissors,
nails, hammer, gum, adhesive, sketch pens, marbles, card
papers, Velcro tape, simple papers, papers, wooden sticks,
wooden logs, calendar for numbers, blade, pencil, meter tape,
compass box, binding clothes, tracing paper etc.
